LOSING SOMEONE YOU LOVE IS HARD ENOUGH.
YOU DON’T HAVE TO DO IT ALONE.

Grief is a universal experience, but we don’t talk about it universally. At The Healing Center, we create space for people experiencing loss to share memories, learnings, challenges, and even laughter. Our grief support options span all ages and stages in your grief process. Healing is not linear; our programs are designed to support you as you evolve after loss.

LIFE AFTER LOSS

The Healing Center was created as a safe harbor, a place where grief could be expressed openly and honestly in a caring and supportive environment. When Kath McCormack, our founding director, lost her husband at the age of 33, she envisioned a place where she and her children could receive support throughout their grief journey. A place where their grief was welcomed and understood, in a cozy home they looked forward to visiting.

LIFE AFTER LOSS

We believe in the power of community.

As a donor-funded organization, it is the support of our community that allows us to do our work.  Even during the isolation of the pandemic, the support of our community never failed.  Because of this, services were able to be provided virtually and continue uninterrupted.

We continue to support our clients as the world continues to open up.  We are grateful to announce the in-person return of our annual fall event on Friday, October 14th at 6:30pm.  Join us at Rhein Haus Seattle for a night of food, drink and bocce ball in support of The Healing Center.
