Education and referrals
The Healing Center maintains lists of other agencies and services, in our community and in cities around the country, to help individuals and families find the support they need.

Outreach to schools and community agencies
Schools are filled with grieving children. That seems like an amazing and overstated sentence, but it is true. Children grieve every time they lose something or someone significant. That something could be a possession, a belief, a friend (even for a little while), a pet, a teacher from the previous school year, a house, or a loved person through separation, divorce or death.

Because The Healing Center works with families and individuals who are grieving the death of someone loved, the agency has begun to have more of a presence in both private and public schools. Often administrators and teachers lack the resources they need to help their grieving families so that the children can get back to their primary job of learning and growing. The Healing Center offers information and consultation to school personnel, and is a referral site for families with children who need support, education and community.
