Starbucks employees, friends and family are volunteering/working at The Healing Center today as part of Starbucks’ Global Month of Service.
In our basement dungeon, employee volunteers are painting, scrubbing, stamping, sanding, a fresh look on 3 new work spaces. The new space will provide more counseling rooms and offices for therapists, all in hopes of providing greater service for our expanding community. None of this would be possible without the outstanding project management skills of their fearless leader, Sylvia Wilks, Starbucks’ VP of Supply Chain International, and her partner Nicky Tannion (our new volunteer extraordinaire – read previous blog post.)
Paint supplies were donated by board members Jay Miller and Chris Navarra, and our landlords, the Lee Family, generously donated the expanded space.
