New Group Offering: Passages

The Healing Center is offering a new group called Passages. The group will meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month at 10AM starting on Tuesday, May 7th.

This group will be open to current clients in Memory Keepers as well as new clients whose loss may have happened several years ago.

As more clients join Memory Keepers groups with very recent losses, their journey can be new, raw, and painful. Some clients who have been in these groups for some time may want to change to a group where the conversation becomes focused on building their new life around their grief.

Call for Volunteers: Memory Keepers and Passages

Are you looking to get more involved with our community? We are looking for new volunteers for Memory Keepers groups and Passages.

GiveBIG 2024 is May 7th - 8th!

Each year, Washingtonians celebrate GiveBIG by supporting the nonprofits closest to their hearts. Last year—through donating, helping to spread the word, and attending meet-ups—community members like you raised over $40,000 for The Healing Center!

These funds helped us continue operating, start the “Passages” group, and expand children’s groups to South Seattle.

Because our services are free of charge, donations are crucial, and GiveBIG is our most public event of the year! If you’re passionate about The Healing Center or have benefited from our services, we hope you’ll join us to prepare for this special occasion by:

  • Visiting our GiveBIG webpage and clicking “Join this Event” to sign-up as a Fundraiser. This will give you a template to personalize your own sharable page showcasing what The Healing Center means to you.
  • Volunteering to assist with this year’s meet-up events by calling or emailing Kim Isaac at 206-853-1770 or kimi@healingcenterseattle.org. Many hands make for light work at these fun and casual community gatherings.
  • Can’t wait to give? You can make a difference right now—and all year long—by signing up as a monthly donor. This budget-friendly method of support provides reliable revenue to fuel our groups and activities.

Together, we can bring meaning and community to more people facing grief’s pain and isolation. We’re excited to celebrate with you!
